An easy fix 09 July 2012
Replacing this switch in my Dyson DC18 proved to be an easy job. Once I had figured out how to remove the switch cover (you will need a torx screwdriver for this) you just need to unplug the connectors from the old switch and fit the new one.

The switch supplied by Espares was a genuine part so it was a perfect fit. A little tricky to open our DC04 model which entails removing the yellow cover with a thin screwdriver then taking out the torx screw to remove the housing (a video maybe Espares?). But once inside it was an easy job to swap over and reassemble. A quality part that should ensure years more service.

Easy to replace 01 March 2012
This switch was easy to fit and replace the broken switch on my DC07 Animal, on my model of Dyson it is back to front though compared to the video shown on this site.
