  Relatively easy to fit. 11 September 2016

  The replacement spindle was relatively easy to fit, once you get the drum out. You have to drill out the old rivets with a 5.5mm bit. Make sure you clean all the burrs off before fitting the replacement one. The whole job takes a while as you have to remove and refit the drum but anyone with basic day skills could do it.

  Exactly how it was portrayed 04 August 2016

  Easy to fit. Video link supplied made this a very easy task. Schematic diagram was extremely helpful. Tumble dryer working perfectly again. Fast no nonsense delivery. E-spares are the only spares company that I now use.

  Simple bit of DIY to save the price of a new dryer 23 May 2016

  I bought this product to replace a worn out riveted version on my Indesit dryer. I was a little daunted by having to drill and remove the existing unit, but I shouldn't have been. It took 5 minutes to remove the old one and less time to install this new one. Brilliant - saved me the price of a new dryer.

  Ordered this part to replace the drum shaft that had sheared off my hotpoint TVM560P tumble dryer. First time I've ever taken a tumble dryer apart so it took me a couple of hours to fit but it went on easily enough & back up & running now. Really pleased to have saved the cost of a call out or replacement

  excellent replacement part 15 February 2016

  An Excellent replacement part that was easily fitted after following the on line video. The Shaft kit was easy to fit, even for a novice like myself. All the parts fit the original drum like a glove and within 1hour I had the tumble dryer up and running again. I will certainly use e spares again when looking to repair my appliances in the future.

  A superb repair kit 15 December 2015

  A superb repair kit which for sixteen quid plus P&P and an hour or so of labour saves the cost of a new machine. I have a Hotpoint tumble drier model number TVF770P(UK) which this website states is not compatible with this kit. But the part looked like it would fit and I was willing to take the gamble so bought it anyway. It fits perfectly and my machine is happily drying clothes again. I gave this product a low score on ‘ease of fitting’ because the disassembly and then reassembly of the tumble drier required to make this repair is quite involved. A few hints and tips on fitting (which also apply if you are replacing the belt of this model): 1. Get a pair of heavy duty safety gloves! The cut steel panels of this machine have razor sharp edges. 2. You will also have to remove the left hand side panel (when looking at the machine front on) first to get the rear panel off. The rear panel is removed by sliding it to the left and then lifting it out. 3. While re-assembling, don’t try to relocate the front to rear internal air duct. Instead remove the white plastic collar around the rear air exhaust. With this off, the air duct can be inserted after the machine is completely reassembled and the collar refitted to secure it in place. 4. Don’t try to locate the drum shaft in the rear panel bearing before fitting the rear panel. Instead tie a bit of rope around the drum; refit the rear panel at the base; then refit the left hand side panel to secure the rear panel at the base. Do not refit the panel screws that hold the two panels together just yet. You will note that the drum support shaft is about 2 cm lower than the bearing. Get a longish (at least 1m) leaver and thread it through the rope you tied around the drum. Resting one end of the leaver on the top of the right hand side panel, leaver the drum upwards against the tension of the drive belt to locate the drum shaft in the rear bearing. Make sure the rear panel is correctly fitted; refit all the panel screws; and remove the rope around the drum.
