Poor Quality Item 23 November 2013
The fact that you are purchasing this item for a relatively new drier just goes to prove what a poor quality item this when it needs to be replaced so soon. It is a common fault, start button stops working, usually just out of warrantee. There is no reason why Beko could not improve the specification of this item, for very little cost, and for it to last for years. For me the job was quite simple and straight forward, but I’m a technician. Most people I know would baulk at this one especially when they see all the wires that connect onto the board in front of this light guide. It is possible to carry out the replacement within half an hour and with very few tools (2 screw drivers, 1 philips, 1 flat) but some of the screws are “very” tight and it is a bit fiddly. I hate to think how much a service engineer charges to replace such a cheap item and ½ hour labour.

Poor Design 31 August 2013
I am usually a fan of BEKO goods but this part is very flimsy and breaks easily causing the start button to fail. I have now purchased 2 so I always have a spare one.

Pathetic design 28 November 2012
This is the worst designed part I have ever seen, the "hinge" for the on/off switch is a thin bendy piece of plastic - which of course breaks after it has been bent a number of times. Glad that espares stock it, and at a very reasonable price.

My Beko DCU7230S condenser dryer broke just after the 1 yr warranty ran out. We bought this part which my husband fitted & my dryer is running like new again! My dryer is rarely used so it shows how poor the part that Beko fitted was. Really glad we didn't chuck the dryer...well done espares!
