    No problems! 02 May 2011

There are two drive belts on most versions of this model - the main drum belt and the heater fan belt. For the heater fan, use ONLY a GENUINE Zanussi/Electrolux belt. For the drum belt, it is not vital to use a "genuine" replacement. Getting the right size belt is important - there is more than one type of drum belt used on this tumble dryer model. Espares got that right first time. Fitting requires partial removal of the drum. Here's how: (All references to LEFT/RIGHT assume you are looking at the machine from the REAR) Before starting, disconnect the electrical supply by removing the plug from the socket! 1. Remove the white plastic heater fan belt cover from the bottom of the rear panel. (Remove the retaining screws then using two flat blade screwdrivers, ease the top right end of the panel away from the steel back panel by depressing the two plastic retaining lugs.) Note the way the belt is run and check the condition of the belt and the felt anti-flap pad. Some green dust is normal! (If the felt pad is missing, obtain or make a replacement) 2. Remove the heater fan belt and set aside. (See extra note at end) 3. Pull out the heater connection plug from the plastic moulded socket on the base of the machine to the left of the drive motor. 4. Using a flat bladed screwdriver in the circlip cutouts, prise off the circlip and remover the thrust washer retaining the drum rear support spigot in the rear drum bearing. 5. Remove the screws retaining the rear panel of the machine - these are around the OUTER EDGE of the panel. It is NOT necessary to remove the drum bearing, heater fan and heat duct assembly which should all remain fitted to the rear panel. 6. Hold the drum so it's retained in the front of the machine by the front felt bearing - and pull away the rear panel. (The drum can at this stage easily be pulled away completely - and it's probably worth doing this so you can give the inside of the machine a thorough vacuum cleaning to get rid of accumulated dust - and while you're at it, clean out the air channels in the door and clean the heat exchanger and its housing too!) 7. Place the new belt around the drum and then refit the rear panel, the drum bearing thrust washer and the retaining circlip. (Pushing the centre of the rear panel towards the front of the machine while fitting the thrust washer and circlip will make that job easier) 8. Locate the belt around and in the grooved section of the motor drive shaft. 9. Twist the drive motor assembly clockwise against the tensioning spring and run the belt around the jockey wheel so that the part of the belt decending from the RIGHT side of the drum is routed around the LEFT side of the jockey wheel before going over the motor drive shaft and then returning across the lower part of the machine to the left side of the drum. (If this proves difficult, release the belt from the drum, fit it correctly around the motor shaft and jockey wheel and then refit it around the drum by rotating the drum manually) 10. Reconnect the heater plug 11. Refit the heater fan belt being careful to ensure it is correctly positioned as shown on the plastic belt cover and making sure it runs through the groove in the felt pad. 12. Refit the heater belt cover. 13. Test.... job done! Extra note: If you find the heater fan belt is also broken, it is highly likely that the heater cut-out will have "popped". This must be reset before the heater will work again. The cut-out is fitted on the hidden side of the heater assembly, which is fitted inside the heater duct on the rear panel. Access to reset it requires removal of the heater duct AND of the heater assembly. This is best done while the rear panel is removed.

Overall the purchase was value for money 13 April 2011

The initial delivery was incorrect but the customer services person I spoke with was suitably apologetic and arranged for a replacement for next day delivery. The belt arrived and was duly fitted. A suggestion would be that on your website you add an advisory note that when a belt breaks the tensioning spring on the motor often flies off. There are many places a spring can hide and it may not be obvious to some people that they need to find or replace that spring.

Zanussi Condenser Tumble Dryer 01 April 2011

After searching the internet for Zanussi spare parts I was directed to your web site. After inputing what I was searching for I also telephoned and was directed on how to obtain the correct part number for the item I required. Ordering was very quick and simple and I rang back several minutes after to have my item sent via next day and although I had not met the cut off time this was still done for me. Thank you for your help and I am now getting at least another year or two usage from my Tumble Dryer. Not bad at all!

Belt fitting and motor noise 28 March 2011

I fitted the belt after watching the online video which really helped. Fitting wasn;t too much of a problem but the motor seems much noisier than it was before. I have checked both the fans at either end but can't find anything amiss. I would be greatful for any suggestions on why this might be. Otherwise a good result

tumble dryer belt 25 March 2011

great service provided by espares, esay to follow web site, product arrived within three days of ordering. Some practical ability was required to fit the belt as the machine had to be partly disasembled and an extra pair of hands to hold belt in the right place will be needed (my ten year old performed this task brilliantly) I will definatly be ordering from espares again.
