Quality bearings at a good price, and delivered on time. As for fitting, I just watched the how to video, and it made it very easy.

    Bearings 26 October 2018

After fitting a new belt the correct tension then showed that the bearings were shot, hard work but very rewarding on completion, washing machine is now like new.

Bearing swap, hard but worthwhile 21 October 2018

I bought a new set of bearings and a new drum seal. Then I watched the video. Its a great video, though I laughed at the bit where the drum just dropped out when the bolt was undone and then the bearings taped out and back in again in a couple of minutes.. Pure gold. That said the video really is very helpful and the espares parts fit and work. As a result my trusty old washer is back to its old quiet self. As a regular customer of espares, its great to be able to get the parts. I rated ease of fitting as only 3. Thats no reflection on espares, its just not easy if your machine is old and water has got into the bearings. I offer a few comments that may be useful for others treading the path. 1. If you are thinking of changing bearings, do it sooner. Don't delay. The longer you delay, the more corrosion and the harder it gets. 2. When the drum doesn't fall nicely out of the bearing, be careful. If you have to hit the shaft make sure you don't do it directly, ideally a block of hard wood or if really necessary a bit of mild steel. Be careful you dont deform or compress the screwthread in the shaft. Penetrating/easing oil can help but bear in mind its probably the front bearing thats stuck to the shaft. 3. Once the drum is out, the bearings will come out, honest. But it might need more than a gentle tap. Be patient, again penetrating/easing oil may help. Make sure you keep the bearing straight. Don't loose your rag. It will come out eventually. 4. Clean everything very carefully. Get rid of all the corrosion on and around the bearing seats. 5. The best thing to push a bearing in with is the old outer part of the removed bearing. Split the old bearing, remove the centre and balls, clean up the outer and hammer on that. Make sure the bearing goes in straight. You can be confident you won't slip and damage the new bearing. 6. Check the drum shaft for corrosion especially where the seal will run. Clean it up. If water gets through into the bearings they won't last, and you will be back here again before you know it. 7. If your tub has screws all the way round and not tabs you probably won't need the silicon especially if you fit a new seal. Mine is working fine without. Espares; you are missing a trick. You should sell targeted tools like a bearing puller that fits washing machines bearings! Make it easy.

perfect match to Hotpoint WT960P 25 May 2017

As Mat (video guide) says this is a big job but if careful and methodical can be done. Time to strip out machine, label and photoghraph all bits including where screws come from was 41/2 hours. Drum in two bits thank goodness therefore easy to dismantle. Warning hear - dont whang the end of the spindle to shift it, be gentle and take time to encourage it away from the drum casing and bearings. If machine old this will be a trying task, as will removing the bearings; here you need lots of force and in my case ignorance with lots of penetrating oil. At this point clean everything that you can get your hands on - very messy lots of horrible gunk in every crevice and surface - but be meticulous with the bearing housing and shaft which I sprayed sparingly with lithium grease. New bearings simple to fit. Reverse procedure, and a lot quicker. Time to this point 6 hours. Bearings are perfect match, sturdy and well made and work without any problems. Reassembly of all bits again easy if you are methodical. Overall took 8 hours.

Noisy washing machine - replace bearings 19 May 2017

Straightforward, contacted chat with problem, they advised parts needed, watched espares video and away i went, took me about two days. Tip 1: soak old bearings in WD40 overnight, easier to knock out. Tip 2: Take lots of photos as you strip it down. Machine now running like new. Parts ordered at 6pm delivered next morning as promised.
