  Resolved problem with dishwasher door 12 March 2019

  The replacement springs and attachment cords are superior to the items which were supplied on the machine, now four years old. The original springs were attached differently, this is obviously an upgrade. My only critiscism is that the espares video does not show how to change the springs.

  Door Counterbalance Repair Kit 03 September 2018

  The springs and ropes are a replacement for the Bosch originals and seem to be an improved design. It includes steel tabs in case the mounting has been damaged by the unrestrained spring. I needed this on the side where the plastic ferrule on the end of the original rope had split. The pack includes an instruction leaflet but it’s a bit rudimentary. However the new springs were installed without too much difficulty and the dishwasher door now operates as new again. A video of the process would have been good but e-spares have included one of how to replace the hinges! Close but not quite the right thing. I also had some difficulty locating the parts I needed as e-spares chose to title them as “Door hinge repair kit” while Bosch calls it a “Repair set - Spring”. A more accurate description would help finding these parts.

  Great part kit supplied to repair the dishwasher door. Better than the manufacturers original parts, so hopefully will last longer. Reasonably easy to fit although an awkward job.

  Arrived swiftly. Better quality than the original Bosch piece. (This one had some metal in the support brackets). Easy to fit after watching a Youtube video. Door now operates properly with canterlever balance restored.
