Your machine uses a welded drum that cannot be dismantled and bearings replaced as it is not possible to reseal after. A new drum Stock Number: ES1551166 is the only repair possible.
I live in Norway and bought the machine here a HotPoint its Model No is WMD 962BX SK. I am a Brit and frequent the UK often. When checking spares the drum bearing never comes up or does not recognise the model No?

The suffix BX SK is for non UK models and is not in our data base. The suffix P UK is the UK model and likely to have the same drum (Stock Number: ES1128371) as you will see this drum does not have a row of bolts to enable the drum to be dismantled and therefore cannot have the bearings replaced. If your drum is of this type (no bolts) you will not be able to replace the bearings.

This machine uses a welded drum that cannot be separated to replace the bearings. To repair the machine you need Stock Number: ES836333

According to our information your machine uses a welded drum Stock Number: ES871622 this cannot be dismantled to replace the bearings.
Local repair man says drum in a sealed unit which would all need replacing, iis this correct. Says I need to just get a new washer?

This machine uses a stainless drum assembly and the drum bearings are attached to a cast iron cross Stock Number: ES832888. This can be replaced with the drum in position or you can remove this assembly, change the bearings then refit it.

This model (we believe) has a one piece bonded tub not screwed and cannot be dismantled to replace the bearings.
Excellent video thank you, but I can't budge the front bearing and seal on a Hotpoint WMP40. Any advice? 1 Answer

Soak some penetrating oil into the bearing joint and if its on the drum try heating with a blow lamp to help remove. If stuck in the plastic tub try using a small chisel or drift to alternately knock the bearing edge on either side to push the bearing. You can also try a 'friendly local garage' or tool hire company to see if they can help.
the washing machine wont start without banging or jiggling the door

hotpoint BWM129, do you need to take the whole drum out, or it looks to me as if the spider bolts on to the back of it? 1 Answer

hi not sure wot wrong think it bearings making loud noise when spining
- The espares tutorial video will help in most cases, However some machines are easier and can be done by just taking the back off (ie no need to remove the front and seal or split the drum as per the video) to check for this look at the spider at the back of the drum (the thing that holds the bearing and has the big wheel) If it is fixed to the drum with bolts,usually torx, then the chances are that it can be removed as a unit complete with the bearings after removal of the drive belt and wheel. The rest of the machine remains untouched. If riveted or welded then see the espares tutorial
