The only bearings video we have is the one shown on the part, the process would be similar and would give you some idea of what's involved.

The drum on your machine is not repairable as it is welded together and cannot be parted and re sealed after bearing replacement. It is likely to be cheaper to have a fixed price repair with Repaircare than replace the drum unit Stock Number ES1635431

Answer this question

Hello - Can I get just the Bearings for my Hotpoint WMUD843P Washing Machine or will I have to buy a whole new Drum for this particular washing machine model number?

Answer this question

Hi there, I see various references to WMA64P WMA64N, does the last letter refer to the cabinet colour? Must say a really well presented video here unlike most others. I have removed the inner drum now which exposes a number of bearings and seals which would surely all need replacing. Hopefully I will be able to remove the bearings as per your instructions in the video but what confuses me is references to 35mm and 30mm bearings. Would it also be desirable to replace the spider as the shaft forward of the rear 30mm step and also and spring are rusted? Will be happy to order these today if you inform me everything required and also, as suggested, false economy not to replace the central drum seal

Depending on production you may have a 30 mm or 35 mm shaft diameter on the drum. for bearings see: Stock Number: ES1016831 and ES487850. If the area of the shaft that contacts the seal is damaged you should replace the spider (30 mm or 35 mm as fitted on your machine).

Answer this question

If so, What is the part number for the whole kit including the seal. Plus do I need any other seals for the drum ? Need part numbers and price for the above. Thanks

I have replacement bearings and seals supplied by you. I have removed drum casing and split the plastic casing to remove front section. Inner drum will not budge from bearings despite increasing force of blows to shaft end. Drum rotates but will not slide out. Have used WD40 on outer bearing but cannot see how to spray this on inner bearing. What is my best next course of action without causing damage?

I have recently changed bearings on an LG machine and found one of the best ways to knock the drum out is by dropping the inner drum and rear onto the drum shaft from 60 cm onto a paving slab. The momentum of the drum rear will usually allow the shaft to break free quickly.
