I ordered a pair of these. The old ones came off easily however I had a little trouble fitting the new ones in a confined space. It was quite difficult getting the units on to their pins and then twisting them to lock. Having said that I dont think there was anything at all wrong with the products, just me being handfisted!

Hi Thomas36, these are two different models, I'm perplexed as to why you have both numbers! I'm afraid I can't help much more than to say that if it is an APP2300 then this is the filter you're after, or if it's an APM2211 then this is the one you're after: http://www.espares.co.uk/part/cooker-hoods/hygena/p/1091/1037/0/0/1029695/cooker-hood-single-carbon.html

Take out a carbon filter and use a vacuum cleaner with a white tissue over the tip to draw air through the filter. If the tissue 'greys' it suggests charcoal dust is escaping the filter. Use the vacuum to draw loose dust out of the filter and replace if required. There may be a little loose dust when a filter is replaced, a light vacuum may remove this.
