Our trusty AEG washer is 15 years old and has only ever stopped once before; 8 years ago for new brushes and then again now for the same reason now. I carefully found the right ones needed on espares and ordered and paid for next day delivery. Package arrived on as promised but to my shock there was only one brush. Thinking there was a packaging mistake I checked the description and only then noticed the word Single after the description. I maintain many washers and have never found brushes listed as single. They are always changed as a pair. I rang espares and had to order a second one for the following day. The operator was sympathetic and did not charge postage. Initially I thought it was ok to invest this amount in the machine but the total repair bill came to double which might have made me think twice about repairing at all if it wasn't such a great machine. Hopefully it will last another 8 years! We are a family of 5 and it does a wash a day so over 5000 washes completed. Very easy to fit. I think the fact that there is only one brush needs high-lighting a bit more?

When our AEG washing machine stopped turning after many years of good service we were filled with dread at the thought of having to replace it and the cost. Then came the realization that it was probably just the carbon brushes which I could replace so I checked Espares web site for the part. It did take a number of emails to confirm the right part needed and now our washing machine is as good as new. THANKS

Correct product, arrived in record time - by 8am day after ordering on next day delivery. Easy to fit, but in this case it was useful that I was trained as an electrical & electronics engineer. Not sure whether this is one for a beginner as the motor needed removing and the brushes making correct contact.
