Replacing the grill element in this Zanussi oven was simple - although while I had bought an element that was spec'd for the model of Zanussi oven I'd specified it did have a slightly different fixing point inside the oven. Rather than return I was able to utilise the fixing from the old part. My lesson is to precisely check every feature of the part with the original.

So far (7 days) doing the job of being a grill - so I cannot tell about life-expectancy yet. 2 fiddley 9mm nuts and 2 grub screws have to hold it in place. That done, the electrical connections are safe and sound. Admittedly, not the fault of the grill but the design of the oven.

The only awkward part of fixing on my oven was that there was a connector block to the right of the connectors which was held in place by the fixing bolt of the element. In fairness if you had a suitable long socket it is easy to replace. I only had an adjustable which made it slightly awkward.

Hi Tombradshaw Replacing an oven element is a fiddly job, and if you are not confident in replacing it yourself, I would recommend talking to a qualified technician.
