If you are an average do it yourselfer the fitting will be OK, take notice of how the old one comes apart or you may struggle, mine was for a Candy machine ,not a lot of room but manageable

After reading the reviews of others, how difficult to fit.... I was worried! However although the panels on my machine do not remove, the top does as does the control panel, after removing the plastic outer snap ring there is ample space to remove the inner lock band, a simple socket and extension bar makes the task easy. What I will say is look closely at the seal before removing the old one, the refit is quite straight forward, I'm no engineer, useful with my hands yes the job took around 45 minutes, it's the first time I've done this, so guess around 20 minutes next time. Don't be fooled by people's reviews, if you can change a bicycle puncture you have the skill for this. Just watch how you remove it, and guess what the refit is the reverse.... As Nike say "just do it!"

Would not advise self fitting if machine does not have removeable front. After hours of trying we had to give up and get a repair man. He has returned twice but I am not convinced its properly fitted so now have to get the Hoover Repair Engineer . Not so easy as is made out to be and would recommend get the proper engineer to start with.

Hi, I fitted one to a hoover nextra HNF7148-80. I required a 7mm spanner and socket, a screw driver to leaver the front retaining ring off and some washing up liquid to lubricate the inner door seal to help fitting. (well worth doing) Regards and good luck

Strength, patience, a couple of small adjustable spanners and a flat head screwdriver. Best of luck - the online video is very helpful but it is not a 5 minute job.

It should be possible to carefully prise the seal retainer of the outer rim and replace the door seal through the door port hole. Although this is more awkward than the machine in the video.

  • Q Marks on garments after they have been washed 1 Answer

These marks are easily washed off by hand as it is like a slim ,when run under hot water it will wash away. I have cleaned out machine best I can and run on hot cycles but it still happens

This problem is likely to be due to a build up of mould and bacteria in the machine. Use Stock Number: ES1566874 eSpares Limescale & Detergent Remover through the machine for two or three cycles and see if this clears it. If this resolves your problem remember to leave the door and soap draw wide open after use until the machine has dried to help prevent the mould coming back.

      Hi

Variations occur on different machines of course but the above video should be a good start for the basics.
