i have just replaced bulb in my cannon cooker, the glass cover turnes 180 degrees anticlock wise then pull,if very stiff could be caused by build up of dirt in thread, hope this is helpfull.

a small drop of WD40 dropped onto the start of the thread eventually loosens the cover glass-but expect a little smoke when the oven is next used unless wiped thoroughly before re-assembly

Hotpoint's web site says your bulb & cover are the same as the ones in my oven. Your official replacement is 15w, the eSpares bulb is the same. The cover unscrews anticlockwise so brush a little olive oil around the base (WD40 does not enhance food flavour) & work it loose.

  • Q I've got the bulb but how do you get the glass cover off????? 1 Answer

Do you simply twist it off? Or push-and-twist at the same time or some other clever way, clock-wise or anti-clockwise??? Driving me mad...
