Quality item and well priced, had to remove top, rear and bottom panels in order to slide new belt over the drum, but not difficult.

The belt was a perfect replacement. It was a bugger to fit but that was down to the design of the tumble dryer and not the belt itself.

Hi again Dtfixitman, I've done quite an exhaustive search with the info you've given me, and it's been pretty fruitless! I've gone through our supplier programs, sent emails, even just blind Googled! I'm afraid I can't find any matches for you whatsoever, and I wouldn't want to recommend you a belt that you might have to return. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Hi Rory, its a fairly old machine but the model no. is definately WK447. The part no. of the belt is 4213 078 50862 and it's around 6ft long (182cm)

Hi Dtfixitman, I'm afraid I can't match the model number you've given me in our database of White Knight machines. Would it be possible to double check? For help, use our guide: http://www.espares.co.uk/findingmodelnumbers.aspx#a7

I used the instructions above by hectorden and got the belt fitted pretty quickly. All I can add is that when I put it all back together there was a scraping noise where the fins at the back were rubbing against the metal back cover. The solutio was ultimately quite easy. You simply bend the fins back a bit. They are made of soft metal and bend back very easily. Mine had gone out of shape as I had tried to the propeller at the back off to get the belt on. PS I was very unimpressed with eSpares over this. I ordered on Sunday and it wasnt even despatched till the following Thursday. Very poor indeed and completely unable to provide an explanation, just a "its sent now" response by email.

Not easy but with a bit of perseverance it can be done. I removed the top and back panel then eased the drum back from the door to be able to get the belt round the drum. Top tip when the belt is round the drum tape it in the centre with electrical tape to stop it moving around. I then turned the dryer upside down and removed the small inspection cover from the bottom and with a little bit of effort pulled the belt over the drive pulley. Put all the screws back in removed the electrical tape and job done.

  • Q fitted a new belt to my dryer supplied by espares. It is really tight, it was at least 100mm short of the pulley is this normal? 1 Answer

The belt needs to be tight, don't forget a load of wet washing is heavy and if the belt is too loose then it will slip on the motor pully.
