Easily fitted, I have used I cheaper version previously so decided to buy this one instead, element and fan working well. Just need the lady of the household to bake a cake or two, just to make sure everything is ok.

Replacing the oven element is straight forward. Firstly remove shelves and glass light bulb cover by twisting anti-clockwise, then simply remove internal back panel from main oven (4 screws) to access the element. A single screw holds the circular element plate in place. Once removed simply pull off the two electrical spade connectors. Tip - clip a peg to each wire connector to prevent it dissappearing through the hole in the oven back.

This element is better quality than the lookalikes hope it lasts longer than them !. easy to fit so long as you dont lose the wires down the back of the cooker. a bit pricey!

To help prevent damage to a fan element turn the thermostat down to minimum for thirty seconds before switching off. Switching straight off stopping the circulation fan immediately when the element is hot can cause overheating and damage the element as the circulating air stops.

I want to remove the back plate but first I must remove the lamp cover. It is extremely stiff and will not budge. Can you help?

Try heating up with a hair dryer or squirting some releasing fluid like WD40 or use a strap wrench for removing jam jar tops available from supermarkets.
