A timely reminder that cooker oven elements always choose to give up when under stress like Xmas Day lunch. Due to other commitments we had planned a Christmas Tinsel lunch just at the end of October .My wife had literally just finished with the cooker and the lights tripped on the RCD. I wondered naturally whats caused that, it had crossed my mind it might be the cooker. My thoughts were confirmed later when I checked it out the fan was working on the oven but there was no heat. The following a day I decided to remove the old element it was late in the afternoon I was trying to select the new element using the Es Spares website, I had all the details make ,model, measurements etc etc .My problem I was not sure whether if it was 2000 watt or 2500. I called Rich on the help desk within a few seconds literally he flashed a link to me showing details of the unit I needed. It was right on 1700 hours but I thought I would request next day and the order was accepted. Their courier APD kept us in the loop with the parcel delivery stages even down the delivery driver's name who would be making the final drop plus he was five minutes early on their projected best time. My son-in -law was on hand to refit and test the new unit and it was fixed and already to go. Five stars.....

Try heating up with a hair dryer or squirting some releasing fluid like WD40 or use a strap wrench for removing jam jar tops available from supermarkets.
