This is the second fan oven element I have bought. The last one was about 3 years ago. The amount of use it gets means that it does last very well. The fitting of it took about 5 minutes and then the oven was back up and running again.
  • Easy to fit; working well so far!

Chose the correct part with help from the online chat person. Delivered faster than anticipated. With the help of the useful video, managed to fit this oven element in less than 30 mins. Working well so far. Of course, only time will tell if it was a good long-term purchase.

I want to remove the back plate but first I must remove the lamp cover. It is extremely stiff and will not budge. Can you help?

Try heating up with a hair dryer or squirting some releasing fluid like WD40 or use a strap wrench for removing jam jar tops available from supermarkets.
