I watched the video which advised me the pump was causing the fault on my hotpoint tumble dryer . I then order the parts on line which arrived the next day The removal and installation of the new assembly was quite straight forward Just one tip before you dismantle the old unit I would give any one is to take a close up photo of the wiring and print it off so the connections go back in the right place. Thanks Espares

If you need to replace an original pump, be warned that the new pump, which has superceded the original design, requires different housing which involves buying this kit as opposed to a standalone pump. Once I got this kit, the changeover process was relatively simple (for someone with no plumber/electrician experience - however, I did use the advice guide video from eSpares for guidance, which was very useful.

Having carried out some research for a replacement pump kit for my daughters machine. I checked out numerous suppliers of these parts. e spares impressed me as to how easy it was to identify the parts I required and the price confirmed my decision to purchase. A very professional company, which I would highly recommend and would certainly use again.

  • Q How do I get the old one out? 1 Answer

I bought this kit some while ago and just came to fit it. Unfortunately I can't see how to get the top off the old pump. I don't want to force it too much in case I break it? Is there a video for it?

The pump assembly is attached to the back of the dryer using the plastic tabs and barbs to hold these in place. To remove these (I have changed many) You can usually just carefully prise them out with a flat bladed screwdriver. If you break a tab you have a new housing cover in the kit supplied.

The micro switch should be removed from the old pump and transferred as it is not supplied as part of this kit.
