Prompt service and delivery of product. Fitting is simple although a very firm 'push' is required to locate tabs.

  • Q How do I get these to fit properly? 2 Answers

I have tried fitting replacements but there is a metal piece in the centre that when upright prevents the paddles from sliding/cliping into place. If I bend this piece down and flush with the drum then the paddles slide/clip perfectly into place, however when I use the machine the paddles are not held securely and snap off (again!). I now need to order more of these but need to know how I get them to hold in place after fitting - i.e. how do I get the metal piece in position to hold them?

I used a short length of thin string to lift the metal tab back up after fitting the paddle. Before fitting I bent the tab flush with the drum. I then looped the string around the tab (no knots) and fed the loose ends through a hole in the paddle. The paddle was pushed into place and then gripping both ends of the string I pulled the tab back up. The string was then removed by pulling one loose end.

  • Q All three paddles have broken off my Indesit WIL133UK at the same time. Any suggestions why this may have happened? 2 Answers

Going to be a bit late with this answer I think but when it happened to my machine it was an Allen Key swirling about at the back of the drum that was shearing off the plastic clips that hold the paddles in place!

Sorry we don't diagnose faults, only replace the spare parts. Should you need technical assistance, please speak to an engineer.

  • Q I have an Indesit WD12X and one of the drum paddles just came off. Just wondered if it is easy to fit the new one and if I could get instructions? 1 Answer

My model number is different but if fitting is the same you place the paddles over the grooves in the drum then push forward or back into the narrow section of the grooves and the paddles are secure quite literally a minutes job.

It should just slide towards you. It may be a bit stuck as they are tight fitting but it will slide towards you with a bit of effort then the new one simply slides back onto the metal slots. Hope this helps.

Hi Vals, I'm afraid I can't match your model number in our washing machine or tumble dryer databases. Would it be possible to double check? For help locating it, use our guide: http://www.espares.co.uk/findingmodelnumbers.aspx#a7
