Worth the expense 29 May 2014
The complete switch assembly was fairly easy to fit, I recommend watching the video as this gives clear instructions. It is cheaper than buying the separate parts direct from Flymo.

Part delivered on time, well packaged , the only issue I have is that the cable could have been a little longer, another 200mm would have been perfect.

However, it might be useful to other customers to know that unless your lawn mower is fitted with a two prong plug before you require this product, you will also have to buy the reconnectable plug, unfortunately we didn't no this so had to order plug after receiving the switch box so it cost us twice the p&p and twice the time in receiving products. However the delivery time from ordering to receiving was just 3 days

The unit itself was easy to fit, the problems were at the other end where the power lead connects to the motor. The two screws which hold the motor cover in place were corroded (they face downward where wet grass cuttings can get to them) and very difficult to remove. Unfortunately, there are no replacements in the pack which seems a bit silly considering what they cost.

Prompt delivery and easy to fit. Video help was excellent. Only problem was that my mower was only 2 years old and the mains cable was hard wired. Had to order a plug to connect mains to new assembly.

Why Buy New 23 April 2012
A new lawn mower would have cost me a lot of money. For a frction of the cost, I was able to restore mine to full working order. I think it's amazing that these spares are now available to all, rather than just specialist (expensive) repair firms. So far I have elongated the life of my dishwasher and freezer by fitting cheap,reliable replacement parts from Espares.

A Sound Replacement 01 June 2017
The part supplied was in good condition and I was able to fit it. Although a Flymo Spare and a compatible item for my particular mower the wire was too short and made fitting difficult. I was unable to clip it back in its initial position and had to leave it out of the fixed handle cross piece. In addition there were no screws to attach it to the handle and as I had had to drill mine out this was a slight problem. Regardless of the above the spare was fitted and the mower works so I am happy.
