  I ordered this door seal for my Hotpoint washing machine on a Friday evening and it arrived on the following Tuesday. Excellent service as always as I have had a few items from them . The seal arrived well packaged in a sturdy box . The fitting was straight forward after I'd watched the ''How To '' video a few times . Cannot fault the service or the quality of the spares .

  I found the parts I wanted easily on the e-spares web site. Although the individual part prices were cheaper elsewhere, by the time postage had been included, e-spares was the cheapest. Their on-line video on how to fit the part was very helpful and made the task of fitting it so much easier. I needed to cut away a thin film of rubber which obscured the drain holes - obviously a manufacturing problem but easily solved.

  After watching the video guide on how to remove the old and fit the new door gasket, all seemed fairly clear, except when I tried to remove the top panel and the front door and panel, as I struggled slightly. The video was very good overall, but it did not explain that I had to slide the top panel towards the back of the machine, and slide the door and front panel upwards, in order to remove both items from their fixings. It was more by luck and a bit of judgement that I managed to remove these two items without causing any damage. But generally I am very satisfied. One other item which was a bit tricky was replacing the plastic giant 'C' clip around the door seal and locking it in place. I was trying to do the impossible by pushing the clip too far into the face of the drum, not realising that the right angled shoulder of the plastic clip only needs to fit just around the gasket to the door panel, I then found that the two free ends would slot into each other without too much force. The job's a goodun, Mick.

  I would have never contemplated a repair like this but I watched the tutorial video and decided to have a go. The part came quickly and the tutorial was spot on. The seal was fitted in 30 mins and it's been fine ever since. The link to the tutorials on espares are first class and probably stopped me from going out and buying a complete new machine. I'll be back!

  hotpoint door seal 24 May 2012

  I bought a hotpoint door seal from you and followed the online video. The only problem was getting the top of the m/c off. Your instructions should say "push top from the front/centre backwards" I didn't and broke one of the internal platic lugs off. Otherwise all went well.
