  Tumble dryer belt 25 December 2021

  Belt broke on tumble dryer so looked on eSpares for a price. Ordered belt and followed instructions video to fit belt. The hardest part was getting the belt around the tension pulley. Got sorted in the end, machine back working 👌🏻👍🏼

  Belt came with correct part number but once trying to fit it was extremely hard to put on. When checked against the old belt it was a bit shorter than the original broken one. Had to remove the bracket completely for the flywheel to just get the belt on it and then over stretch the wheel with belt on to try and even get close to fitting it. Would advise to stretch the belt a bit before putting it on over the flywheel. Apart from that once fitted it worked a treat and dryer is now fully working 👍

  Dryer belt Hotpoint 13 November 2020

  Belt duly arrived bit fiddley numerous self tappers to remove watch your fingers on the sharp edges. Remember to prop drum when removing front and remove fan cover to expose and remove fan after pinching clamp to allow belt to be slid onto motor shaft slacken front pulley bolt remove rear bolt unhook bracket from motor casing fit belt around pulley clip bracket back in place and refit bolt tighten bolts if in doubt watch Espares video it's very similar

  Reasonably priced and saved us from forking out for a new machine. Sent video instructions of how to install. Overall great product. My only let down was it took over a month for the product to arrive without no communication about a delay or the cause. A month without a functioning tumble dryer and bad weather for a family of 6 can be tedious. However when product arrived, got tumble dryer up and running within 20 minutes.

  Good Quality Original part 20 March 2019

  I had to wait 8 days for delivery and new belt is approx' 3 mm wider (2 extra V grooves) but I have extra grooves in my motor shaft to allow the wider belt to fit so all was good and it should last longer than the old one.

  Quality seems good but fitting requires patience, good strong finger nails, a bit of gaffer tape to silence the bad language and two people to keep it all together. This is more about the construction of the tumble dryer than the belt!

  All Belted up and ready to Tumble 06 December 2015

  Tried to fit this belt as detailed in the Video. The belt was so tight I could not stretch it far enough to get it around the idler wheel. I had to remove one of the bolts from the idler wheel bracket and slacken the other to drop the wheel. I then used a lever to force the idler bracket back into position and re-fit the bolt. The Indesit dryer does not have a spring loaded Idler. Worth noting that this dryer had a belt fitted some time ago and it snapped after 2 weeks. It was the same belt as I fitted and was apparently installed by a professional call out technician. It looked like the drum had stalled and the drive spindle had melted the belt. I can only assume the technician fitted it incorrectly. That is he looped it the wrong way around the idler wheel when the belt catches on the lower duct assembly. Not sure about this but 2 weeks is a short life for one of these belts. Once installed and the dryer given a good clean out, including the heat exchanger, all worked great. Nice item and a good price providing it does not snap again.

  Does the job perfectly but hard to fit on Indesit IDC85UK 15 October 2015

  Works well but you will need to partially dismantle the whole machine to get it on. I took of the front and slid the belt over the drum and then had to remove a cover inside to slide the belt over the shaft. They make it about 50mm shorter so that you have to stretch it over the shaft which is very difficult. The belt itself is fine and delivery and packaging were very good. Tip, wear protective gloves as there is lots of sharp metal edges inside the Indesit

  Not so easy to fit 05 November 2013

  Although I consider myself capable, being an ex-engineer, I had great difficulty in fitting the belt. Not because the belt was in any way defective, it's not. It's a good quality item. But purely due to the amount of the machine needed to be taken apart to get the belt fitted and the effort required to get it on the jockey pulley. It would have been useful to have a sheet included with the item to show the steps required for replacement and an indication of where you might get a purchase point to aid getting the belt over the jockey pulley. There was quite a lot of trial and error on my part before I succeeded in getting the belt completely fitted.
