  Siemens Oven seal problem 12 October 2021

  I ordered this replacement main oven seal for my Siemens cooker. The website said it was compatable.I was a bit concerned that the seal was of a different type to the original, however I cut the seal to the required length and then fitted it all together. However the clips were of the wrong shape to enable the seal to fit. After a number of attempts I binned it and ordered "genuine" parts from one of your competitors. Wont waste my money again by using your company .

  Disappointing fixing for seal for Rangemaster Teledo 05 August 2021

  The universal seal with corner fixing failed to provide a secure firm fixing when being held in place by the metal corner hooks. We have returned for refund.

  Beware, it's not universal! 08 June 2021

  Bought two of these for my double oven Whirlpool cooker. Fitting was straightforward and in both cases it attached around the oven opening with the four prongs supplied. But neither door would close due to the seal being too thick. Rather than being left with no seal at all I decided to cut the thickness down by removing the protruding lip at the front. Did this for both top and bottom oven and it seemed to work OK. If this protruding lip was somehow made to be 'removable' then it really would be Universal. The problem is describing it as universal when it clearly isn't.

  Tried to fit to my Rangemaster 90 dual fuel main oven door. Straight forward to cut seal and fit to to clips. However, the clips do not work without significant manipulation and even then not confident will remain in place and provide an adequate seal. Very definitely a two person job, one to fit and the other to stop the clips popping out of the holes in the door.

  Poor quality fittings 16 February 2018

  Bought this for a basic siemens oven. Made sure it was the correct product as per the model number. The connectors for the rubber seal were not adequate and compared to the original fitting were inferior quality. I had to remove and utilise the old metal fittings. So basically paid for the rubber seal. Would not purchase again.

  Not easy to fit 11 September 2017

  Cheap to buy but found it very fiddly as having bigger hands all fingers and thumbs and ended up binning it and paying the higher price to get the branded product which was so much easier to fit.

  Unable to use 16 June 2017

  The espares website and delivery were excellent, as was the video with instructions to fit. However, the universal seal is not as wide as the original and i could not use it as the part of the clip that fits into the the four oven holes is not long or thick enough to hold it in place under pressure. The old oven clip is twice the size and much stronger.

  OK but beware 07 January 2017

  Looked at espares usual excellent helpful guide and took a chance and went for this universal seal which you fit together yourself by measuring and cutting. It certainly works out cheaper. On opening the pack, all looked good regarding quality of seal and metal corner pieces. However, then realised that the barbed hooks on the corner pieces would not line up with the holes on my AEG cooker. The barbs which fit into the holes were facing the opposite way to the barb hooks on the original AEG seal. I tried to carefully bend the barbs to the same shape of the originals but could still not get them to line up with the holes in the cooker. Fortunately, I managed to retrieve the old oven seal from the bin and removed the corner pieces from that. I then snipped off the barb hooks from the new corner pieces and managed to push both old and new corner pieces into the new rubber strips! Was it worth saving a tenner or so? Unless you can't get an original replacement then no!
