  Did not fit well did not move the glass had to use a hammer and chisel to move this tool was of no use. Was expensive for what it is

  Although this item came up on the search for my make and model of oven, it did not fit - it was too small & so of no use whatsoever. A You Tube search showed an ingenious solution however.

  Not fit for purpose 11 February 2021

  Whilst this may be the recommended tool to remove the glass bowl to replace the oven lamp I consider it not fit for purpose. I am unable to replace the oven light at present and wonder whether Neff have designed it in such a way as to need a service call. A neighbour had similar problems and if fact shattered the bowl requiring purchase of a replacement.

  A piece of plastic which simply slides off any high points giving no leverage, therefore useless on an item which is solid to move. In the end I removed the glass dome with a g clamp

  Disappointing 28 October 2020

  It is made of a 'slippery' plastic material and difficult to hold in position in use. I have a Neff oven and I also found the depth of the socket was too shallow to grip the protrusions on the light glass adequately. Am still unable to remove the glass to change the bulb. One good feature is a wide transverse slot into which a screwdriver shaft or similar could be placed to increase the leverage.

  Didn't work for me. 18 October 2017

  The tool was not deep enough to remove the glass cover from my Neff oven, it just kept slipping off.Unable to remove glass even with the tool..Had to revert to good old wrench to do the job.

  Ordered this tool for a 2yr old Neff oven, With the tool the light cover refused to budge , even using an extra lever in the groove. Advice from Neff was to try it again with a warm oven but this slightly softens the plastic allowing the tool to stretch and ride over the ribs it is meant to grip. Result = call out Neff engineer.

  Not so good so far 29 August 2017

  Watched the video, bought the removal tool and the new bulb. However try as I may I cannot remove the glass housing which holds the bulb. I am no weakling (my opinion) but the glass will not budge. I think Bosch should reconsider their perfect German engineering.

  This is a common problem usually caused by congealed grease built up in the threads of the lens causing it to stick. Try a degreaser around the rim but do not allow it to dry out and bake on. Remember to try when warm as this helps the grease to melt.
