  Did not fit over the light cover 22 November 2012

  The product matches the picture associated with the product, but fitting it over the glass dome proved impossible. The back corner of the oven is very difficult to reach, let alone get sufficient force to push a tool like this over the dome, even if the tool is large enough. I suspect the dome itself exists is more than one version, with associated size change.

  Sadly does not work 14 September 2012

  This item is made accurately of good quality plastic however it is not ridged enough to remove a tight fitting cover. My oven has only been lightly used and is in good and clean condition but the glass cover will not budge. I tried using a wrench to give me more leverage but the extra pressure caused the plastic to give and slip off the lugs. Will have to find another way.

  Lamp Cover Remover Tool 07 June 2012

  The tool was useless. I have still not been able to get the lamp off. It is obviously a design fault in the oven as it seems to have been miss-threaded, but the gadget is not up to the job as it fails to grip sufficiently. Will have to get Neff out at a call-out charge.

  Didn't work on my oven. 15 May 2012

  I purchased this along with the new bulb as a precaution in case the cover was difficult to remove - which it was - but had to resort to rubber gloves and brute force as there wasn't enough grip on the remover tool!

  Failed to remove the cover.3 Mates also tried it and failed. Its now a little dirty so can't return for refund. May work for you didn't for us. Made removal attempts even more annoying because we brought a "Removal tool" its cheap plastic crap.....

  The lamp cover remover is not strong enough when confronted with extremely tight fittings it slips on the ribs and the groved base splays open when useing a bar for extra leverage.

  Complete waste of time 17 October 2011

  Neither myself nor my husband could remove the bulb cover in our Bosch oven so I bought this gizmo but it kept sliding off the cover. An engineer arrived and surprise, surprise used the same gadget and removed the cover in seconds! It appears the trick is to press the tool up towards the bulb and turn it but there were no instructions to that effect. The simple solution would be to not screw the covers on so tightly in the first place. We can both now turn the cover by hand!

  Didn't fit! Be careful. 30 June 2011

  Very disappointed. I thought this tool was going to solve the problem I had of not being able to remove the lamp housing. Sadly it is totally the wrong fit despite the item being advertised as being suitable for all Neff cookers and hobs. Equally annoyingly, I had ordered a replacement lamp as well so that is now surplus to requirements. Fortunately not an expensive mistake but a warning - make sure you are certain that this will fit your appliance. In response to one reviewer who says that the product is unecessary and you can remove the lamp housing with fingers - fine, if you have strength in your fingers!.

  Cheap and nasty 28 June 2011

  This didn't fit that well on my Siemens oven. It was OK for the top oven but not for the bottom oven which had seized. It would be OK as a tool to regularly remove the lamp cover for cleaning but if the cover is seized then only very patient tapping with a soft hammer is likely to work. Basically its slightly too small to fit the cover snugly but too soft to exert enough force. I'd buy an original.
