- I`m no expert but i believe the parts are pressed together in the manufacturing process and most likely have locking tabs so they can not come apart. All the parts come as one piece and simply fit on to the center pole on your fryer using your two fingers and thumb in a move similar to pulling a cork with a lever (if that helps). I see its been a while since your post but i thought it might be helpful to others. regards
