  I've always used a similar product in both my washing machine and dishwasher every month or so and find it really does help keep down the gungy build up of detergent that clogs the pipes and the drawer, particularly in the washing machine. I always make sure not to use a liquid detergent or a gel tablet as the engineer told me that these cause the worst problem. I haven't used this brand before but it looks similar to what I have been usingand so I.'m confident that it will do the job.

  Watch your tongue! 30 July 2015

  First time user of this product. Didn't clean the rubber rim as much as I had expected- but there was a big build up of gunk! Be wary after opening the sachet I think I must have had a single crystal on my finger which I then put on my tongue, result -a small blister

  Economical way to clean your dishwasher 23 July 2015

  Tried all those expensive upside down tanks that melt the seal and look all flash, but this stuff really seems to do the job for a fraction of the cost. Have only used it once, but it bodes well.

  Good Product & Excellent Service 25 May 2014

  I purchased these for my washing machine which is now 5 years old and had developed quite an unpleasant smell. I also noticed that there was the beginning of some black marks forming in the folds of the rubber seal, which I had tried to remove with kitchen cleanser, but this did not work. After using one sachet most of the black marks have gone, although not completely and the rubber seal looks much cleaner. There is still a faint odour, but the drum itself looks much cleaner. As this is the first service wash I have ever done, not being aware this is something which needs doing regularly, I shall repeat again and update if this product completely cures the odour and black mark problem after another few go's.

  Because it is internal to the machine you can only guess that it has worked - time alone will tell. Almost impossible to read the instructions on the packet so do not throw away the box, these are the only clear, simple guidance instructions.

  Better value than product reccommended by engineer! 08 April 2013

  It is difficult to assess the efficacy of this product ,because presumably the results are long-term, but seemed to produce clean machines, which is what was required. When engineer called months ago , he "poo-pooed " the use of Calgon but said one should use a cleaner once a month. He also siad that we should do a really hot wash once a week. Perhaps he is in league with the Energy providers!
