  Cleaning washing machine of limescale 10 September 2012

  I feel it is starting to work after second attempt, our water is very hard and I very seldom used anything to get rid of hardwater limescale, the machine still smells a bit, I will certainly keep using it and hope to continue.

  Still having problems! 09 September 2012

  Bought these sachets as I've tried replacing the rubber door seal, adding bleach to drum and dispenser drawer, washing at 95 degrees etc. This was the last resort to rid machine of small brownish deposits left on washing (especially noticeable on whites and very frustrating!) Have to say first one didn't make a difference. Used a second sachet the next day and washed at 95 degrees instead of recommended 60 degrees. Seems to have made a difference but hasn't solved the problem yet and machine still smells a bit after some washes. Can't think what else to do so will continue to use sachets to minimize the marks.

  Simple descaler for maintaining a clean washing machine 18 July 2012

  Our Bosch Classic washing machine developed a mouldy smell after just a year. We gave it a good clean and 2 sachets of this stuff at 90C. Since then we've been using 1 sachet every 3 months or whenever there is the faintest whiff of odour. There has been no return of black mould in 3 years of use so far. Being on septic tank drainage we disconnect the waste pipe from the drainage system for the cleaning cycles and collect the waste water in a plastic dustbin where it is pretty obvious from the grey gunge that comes out that the descaler is doing it's stuff well.

  good product 18 July 2012

  Although I have only used this product once in the dishwasher and once in the washing machine I am pleased with the initial results especially in the dishwasher. Easy to put in washing machine dispenser drawer, a little more awkward in the dishwasher dispencer drawer. Will certainly buy product again.

  Universal Limescale & Detergent Remover 17 July 2012

  My washing machine (Bosh) certainly smelled a lot fresher after using this product. I then used it in my dishwasher and received the same result. It is difficult for me to judge this product at the moment as I have only just started to use it. I previously used Calgon in every wash. Time will tell but certainly all the reviews I read before purchase appeared to be very positive. It is recommeded to use 1 sachet once a month which is a bonus as the box gives a 12 months supply.

  Lives up to its name. It's not often that you can get a product that's for both washing machine and dishwasher. Rather expensive when you have to add on delivery, but there is plenty of the stuff in the package, so maybe the extra cost is reasonable after all.

  Does a great job, not the cheapest product though 16 July 2012

  I've been using this for some time and it does a good job of cleaning our washing machine and dishwasher. I don't religiously using it every month, more like when I remember, but probably no less than bi-monthly. Interestingly recently, our dishwasher had run out of salt and I'd not noticed, until I'd seen the element at the bottom covered in limescale. One cleaning session with this stuff and the inside looks like new; shame they can not invent a powder to clear around the seals etc on the outside that needs a cloth and rubber gloves. Would happily recommend it. I do question the price though, as it doesn't look much for your money.
