  Easy to fit replacement drain pump 18 August 2010

  When I tried to remove the filter from my Bosch Classixx 1200 washing machine for cleaning, it just wouldn't budge at all! I investigated and found it was clogged with limescale, so I decided to order this replacement from e-spares. The design of the new filter seems to have been improved, with a larger handle, which also has an arrow at one end to indicate when the filter has been fully locked in position. The pump was easy to fit, just two hoses, one from the drum & the outlet hose, both of which are held on by spring clips, and the plug. The unit is held in place with a #T-20 screw. The whole job took about 20 minutes, and washing machine now works perfectly!

  A good enough pump but don't undo the filter. It doesn't re-seal. Had to use a load of PTFE tape and silicone sealant to stop the leak. Amazing that they don't make a thread that doesn't strip the first time it's used.

  poor Quality 23 April 2009

  Pump lasted 4 months before propeller fell off and jammed the pump. Managed to fix it but then the screw on cap and washer would not tighten enough to stop a small amount of leakage. If overtighten then cap would come off the thread altogether. Cheap easy to fit but poor quality or maybe just a bad one of the batch.
