Bulb 'blew' within 72 hours of fitting. There was a sivery white deposit on the glass, and the glass was cracked/broken adjacent to the metal cap. Could I have your views on this please? I did use the new cover purchased at the same time

Best to wait until the oven is cold before fitting otherwise the glass casing will not move and you won't need to purchase the lamp cover removal tool.

The internal lamp for the oven/cooker was the same as the one that blew. I was unable to find such a special (300C) light locally, so espares met the bill in full. Very content

value was good, delivery was quicker than promised - ta! However I could not fit as I was unable to remove the existing broken bulb until I had contacted NEFF Head Office who put me through to Service Section when I explained my problem. The Service Section made several suggestions on how to unscrew lamp internally from oven roof -unfortunately I had already tried all of these methods & they'd failed, so they then reported on a tool costing £8 which they had now developed for customers' also having same problem. I ordered tool which arrived in two days & was perfect for I had removed lamp cover, replaced broken bulb & returned lamp cover within 5 minutes the tool is a must & should be advocated when oven is purchased.

Standard oven lamp, however markings on old lamp and the choices on eSpares did not make selection as easy as it should have been. Narrowing down by oven manufacture and model should have left only one choice to make.
