  Like all karcher pipes they are prone to kinking, they should be more rubberised and have swivel heads to stop this.

  Bought specifically to clear an outside kitchen drain which was unsuccessful but found blockage was closer to the main junction so hard to measure its performance.Hose and fittings look quality but a little expensive for what is in fact just a 15m hose with special brass fitting on the end.

  Slight disappointment 13 July 2011

  The drain cleaning kit is ok but I was a little disappointed as it dodn't do what I'd hoped, partly because there is a genuine problem with the drain and it just wont clear the blockage I have, guess it's a collapsed pipe. I do think that there should be some kind of water jet from the front. I understand the principle of the cleaning head but to have a jet on the front would help the nozzle to make better progress as to only have it propelled forwards assumes that there is a hole for the nozzle to squeeze through and if the drain is completely blocked, the nozzle cant really go anywhere as there's nothing at the front of it to help it cut through. Still cheaper than a drain doctor type person though which must be good.

  Great idea 10 April 2009

  I purchesed the drain cleaning kit to clear several land drains which had become clogged; roots, it turned out, were the primary cause the the problem. The Karcher seemed a great way to clear them. I found the drain cleaner would unsurprisingly, not clear the roots. One other tip; before commencing use, spread out the hose and straighten as there is a tendency to kink if not first straightened. I suspect there is also a level of power required from the Karcher pump below which it is not a viable unit (my unit was rather old and not far above entry level).
