  Usual Karcher quality. easy to fit into hand gun. Jet powerful enough to clear a 4" drain. Only downside is that the hose wants to retain the shape it was in the box and I haven't yet worked out how to reduce the tight circular format it wants to retain. Other than that, it does the job well.

  Total waste of money 01 June 2015

  You need three hands to use this. One to feed the hose down the drain; one to hold the K;Archer switch on; and a third to stop the damn thing trying to curl up in to a nice tight ball. The hose has been so tightly and tied together that it just wants to be in that original position. Then, it doesn't really jet itself along unless you have perfectly smooth drains. If I had perfectly smooth drains I wouldn't need to use this. After 60 useless minutes I will never get back, I reverted back to my drain rods and removed the blockage in 5 minutes. Useless - Avoid.

  Arrived the next day (although I paid for standard delivery). The nozzle is smaller and more flexible than other reviews led me to believe, and it easily tackled a 90 degree bend. Cleared the blockage in minutes and then spent the rest of the afternoon checking out the other drains, too. Highly recommend the 15m kit for long, shallow drains.

  It succeeded where other methods failed 13 April 2015

  The Karcher drain cleaning kit finally managed to unblock the drain after a week of trying chemicals and the standard Karcher power nozzle. After a few attempts the length managed to reach and blowback the obstruction which seemed to be mainly rubble. Remember the old adage - if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. It certainly worked with this piece of kit and comforting to know I have it available for any future problems.

  Did the job perfectly! 21 October 2014

  After suffering from blocked drains and having paid so called 'professional' firms large amounts of money for drain cleaning in the past, I decided to give this Karcher product a try. I should say that I have an engineering background in pipework systems and I had the benefit of the original house plans showing the run of the sewers so this job was somewhat easier than it might have otherwise been. I deployed the jetting hose as described in the supplied instructions and it immediately began to have the desired, if slightly disgusting, effect. The nozzle propels itself along the drain nicely and I found the best technique was to allow it to run in about a metre, then pull it back, before letting it run on again. Repeating this cycle a number of times before allowing it to run on another metre resulted in a clear drain pipe in no time at all. The only downside is that the hose is supplied tightly coiled, and like all hoses, it has a mind of its own and wants to recoil with no encouragement! Also, be careful if you encounter any intermediate manholes along the run of pipework. I did, and the self-coiling mentioned above caused the hose to trap itself in the manhole.

  Fabulous product - paid for itself many times over. 26 July 2013

  Due to a slightly bad drain design, and an over-exuberant child. the drain from the downstairs bathroom at the front of our property, feeding to the main to the rear, often gets blocked and "backs-up". First time I called out a mate to help me unblock it, and it took a few hours (wasting the first 45 minutes because I told him the drain flowed a different direction.) using traditional rods, screws and plungers. A horrible, messy job! This occurs 2-3 times per year - at least now I spot the signs quite early... Rather than depend on a mate or call-out to a "drain specialist" I went looking for some drain rods, and made a punt on purchasing the 15m model of kit... I was very skeptical, but it is amazing! Now it takes about 30 minutes to carefully feed it from the rear mains up the blocked one - and a few cycles of letting it "bump" into the blockage, and pulling it back a foot or so -- repeatedly... Clears the blockage really quickly and efficiently! What's more - I only have to lift one drain cover (at the rear) to clear the job -rather than the ones at the front too... I also repeat the job up each direction of the main drain and feeds to it (including neighbors) for good measure - and it has a massive reach. The most difficult part about using it is cleaning it afterwards - I roll it up, and dump it in a bucket with water & detergent or bleach for about 15 minutes, then into a bucket of clean water, before packing away. Goggles and gloves a must - perhaps also protective clothing, but as they say in the video - avoid using the pressure for the first / last few feet to avoid any nasty splash-back! So, this small purchase has probably saved £100s in call out fees... :-)
