  It fits OK but not cheap! 07 April 2015

  This is the second handle I've had to buy for my fridge - both the original and the first replacement have broken in the same way across the screw holes, so it looks like a design weakness. This part matches perfectly and is straightforward to fit. Note: my fridge (Hotpoint RLA84) uses T20 torx screws on the handle, so check you have the right screwdriver. The part is to my mind very expensive for what it is, especially as, like the original part, it seems to break after a couple of years.

  Old Style Fridge door handle 13 December 2013

  I have ordered spares from this company before and have been very satisfied. However this time what I ordered never turned up, when I contacted e-spares they were very good and sent me another one which arrived the following day. The actual part I feel has a design fault as this is the third time I have had to order a new handle. My fridge is a Hotpoint.

  Handles can break if not being 'pulled' in the direction of the door opening but from the side in a narrow kitchen. Try and ensure all users are aware of this as this may prevent further problems.

  Handle with care 06 September 2013

  On the plus side, very prompt delivery by espares, the handle is simple to fit and looks good. However, there is an obvious design defect with Hotpoint fridges and freezers as this is the second time we've had handle problems in four years. I was surprised the packaging did not contain screws so make sure you keep the old ones. For the amount you pay, you'd expect new screws.

  Great e spares service 12 February 2010

  I cannot fault espares on their service but this is a terrible design of handle by Hotpoint. I have replaced the handle 8 times in five years!!! Hotpoint reckon I am the only one to ever complain about this which I find hard to believe so please ring them if you have this problem too. E spares though have always provided a great service and I have used them lots of times!

  Fridge door handle 03 October 2009

  Basically the handle is the same as the one that has been replaced twice: Its a poor design from Hotpoint, and will continue to break. If the door is opened with any pull to one side it will stress and eventually break. (tell that to young children!) Hotpoint need to make it all aluminium: at this rate its costing me £50 per year to replace every 6 months, but what do they care! Very good service from Espares however.
