  Old Style Fridge door handle 13 December 2013

  I have ordered spares from this company before and have been very satisfied. However this time what I ordered never turned up, when I contacted e-spares they were very good and sent me another one which arrived the following day. The actual part I feel has a design fault as this is the third time I have had to order a new handle. My fridge is a Hotpoint.

  Handles can break if not being 'pulled' in the direction of the door opening but from the side in a narrow kitchen. Try and ensure all users are aware of this as this may prevent further problems.

  Easy to find the correct part, easy to order. Although I thought the cost a little expensive, it was the cheapest available and clearly the market price. Delivery was quicker than forecast and fitting was a matter of two screws. First class from beginning to end.

  On the plus side, very prompt delivery by espares, the handle is simple to fit and looks good. However, there is an obvious design defect with Hotpoint fridges and freezers as this is the second time we've had handle problems in four years. I was surprised the packaging did not contain screws so make sure you keep the old ones. For the amount you pay, you'd expect new screws.

  Such a relief 05 September 2013

  Original handle broke and as usual my husband said he would mend it. Waited a while knowing this could become a permanent situation (and SO inconvenient for me). Then I got onto the website and in a few clicks it was ordered and arrived really quickly. Fantastic.
