the plastic bearing was not properly fitted at the factory. I had to use a press and great care not to crack the lid when fitting it correctly. It now works fine

Wrong lid 04 February 2010
The service was excellent, especially as I have had to return two lids. They are supposed to match model no. MCM5081GB/03 but don't. The dome of the lid is too shallow. Not too sure where to go from here as don't really want to buy a whole new machine

Without this well fitting spare part, my food processor would have been destined for the scrap heap but now it is as good as new. Why can't we get spares for all our electrical goods, to save the wastage?

I have been struggling along woth a broken lid for years before I decided enough was enough and searched on-line for a spare parts supplier for my Bosch Food Processor. The replacement lid was simple to identify from the parts numbers list, ordering was very easy and I received the part quickly. The part fits exactly and I wonder way I left it so long to get a replacement.
