Kärcher inlet elbow assembly 20 September 2014
The item arrived in about five days and trusted that it would be replaced as simply as in the video. A special screwdriver (star-socket screws) is required to open the outer casing. I found the right tip in a power-drill set, cut a slot across 'blunt' end and used it with a normal flat-blade screwdriver. Access to the inlet-elbow was not as easy as opening two clips, as shown in the video. There was a steel cover held by four Allen screws. It was a relief to find that the new item was the right one, which then entailed removing the 'cylinder-head' with three piston springs beneath. The new part was easy to fit and the re-assembly of the washer, hoping the valve-springs had stayed in place! The E300 washer is a great machine, spoiled only by the location of the inlet elbow. It is down at the bottom on the front. If the machine is carried by the black (dragging) handle, the inlet valve is the fist part that hits the ground whenever the machine is put down! It is therefore essential to use the yellow handle on the casing to carry the machine, or this item will need frequent replacing.

Look carefully at the pictures/diagrams to ensure you have the right replacement part. My Karcher is quite old and doesn't appear in all the various listings so it's worth taking time to get it right. The part fitted fine. However, be careful when stripping down a power washer as there are lots of small parts that can end up on the floor when you turn the machine on its side. Overall, Espares is a great service to have.

The part as an karcher original obviously was a proper fit.Full marks to the espares website that enabled me to identify the part for my machine, as the B302 is not even listed by Karcher themselves but is in fact a KB302. Be prepared for all sorts of bits coming apart other than the elbow when dismantling,a job for confident diy'ers.

Found the elbow had split due to frost damage and wasn't sure where to go. Found your site and put in the washer model and just elbow. Up it came with the picture exactly as I needed. Ordered the part on Tuesday and it was delivered Friday morning. By Friday afternoon it was fitted and working. Superb!!!

Unfortunately the online video on how to fit Karcher water inlet elbows does not relate to this model and eSpares were unable to offer any assistance. Nevertheless the product itself is fine and was very promptly delivered.
