We could not find the extractor cartidge so we though we would try to refill it using the charcoal pellets as provided here. Bit messy to fill and they had all spilled out in the envelope but at the end of the day they were what we wanted at the time and really good price so if you do not mind getting a littel dirty they are OK for you.

Great idea and product 20 April 2011
We fit and refurbish Kitchens for a living and sometimes finding the correct carbon filter for a cooker hood can be a nightmare. This product does away with all that hassle. Providing the original isn't completely caked in crud this is a cheap effective way to get your filter up and running again. Nigel from KitchenSOS

very easy to put the charcoal in but glad I bought 2 tubs as 1 tub wouldnt have been enough almost used the 2 tubs overall very pleased

I decided to refill existing filter casing rather than purchase expensive cartridge replacment. The supplied chips were identical to the original and I was able to refill to a better density than that in the original unit the filter now appears to be more effective than before first class product.

The cost of replacing a cooker hood is very expensive. With this product there is enough charcoal to fill the container and plenty to top up at least twice more. Really recommend this product, you won't be disappointed.

saw this after my wife told me we should have replaced the entire filter, much more environmentaly friendly, and cheaper. good product, and easy job to refill filter.
