  Fitting was difficult but not eSpares. Belt was very tight and requires a good stretch. Delivery time as stated on website. Price cheaper than Dyson so cannot complain. Would use again.

  Part arrived quickly, takes a bit of pulling to get it in place but that's to be expected, not a criticism of the part provided. Dyson now back working again. Have used espares for quite a few items and always find them efficient

  Quuck & Simple ..... ish 09 August 2013

  Direct replacement belt from Dyson ..... Gotta be easy ? Well chuffed at price for two belts, usual fast delivery from eSpares. The new belts numbered exactly as the original broken one but strangely over 3cm shorter. Double check that they fit our DC04, re check the part number,Was about to make an enquiry but then found the belts to be very different in material. Old belt quite hard and with little flex, new belt very flexible. So off came the cover .... 3 quarter turn catches, remove the roller brush, feed the belt through the guide hole onto the drive shaft from the motor then using the old belt looped through stretch the new belt over the brush body which is then slotted back into place, clip the cover back into place. Job done. Bit awkward due to how short the new style belt is but simple enough.

  This sounds like the old belt had stretched and lost its elasticity. the new belt will grip better.

  Belt ok but fitting instructions & video poor 23 January 2013

  I watched the video, but the belt needed to be stretched too tight for my fingers to get the belt over the drive shaft. My solution was to detach the lower head casing (yellow part) fit the new belt (easy when not under tension) and use the head to stretch the belt as you click it back into place, all quite simple really. Only gripe is that Espares are slow with delivery, taking 7 days in this case. This the the 3rd or 4th time I have used them and is an average delivery time. Tip whilst you have it all stripped down lubricate the ends of the roller brush, through the holes on the end plates with some oil making sure the brush spins freely against the static ends.
