  DCO7 - Drive Belt - Difficult to fit. 07 April 2011

  The explanatory video was helpful in that it showed how best to strip down and position the cleaner prior to fitting so as to obtain maximum leverage on the belt. However, I found it difficult to remove the post motor filter (as recommended)and instead placed a block of timber on either side underneath the inverted machine. The real difficulty came in stretching the belt prior to fitting to the motor drive spindle. The space available is inadequate and cannot accommodate my stubby fingers so I had to use a flat ended screw driver and this entailed several attempts before it could be positioned correctly. Marks 1 out of 10 for ease of maintenance design Mr Dyson.

  Dyson Vacum belts 22 December 2010

  The service from e spares was good the product arrived promptly and with instructions. Dyson however have produced a product that is incredibly difficult to fit. the instructions they provide sould be followed in reverse and I split both my thumbs doing it.

  Not suitable for Dyson all floors 11 November 2010

  delivery and prices great, but I had asked first what part i needed for by dyson dc07 All floors and was advised this was it, as it turns out you can't change just the brush belt on the All floors model you need to change the entire clutch, so I was wrongly advised on this part, but had already opened the part before I realised, other parts I ordered were correct.

  For clutchless DC05 ONLY 13 August 2010

  If your Dyson DC05 has a clutch, these belts will not fit. I assumed they all used the same belts. There are 3 different types of brush roll belts, the oldest seems to be unavailable anywhere and eventually I had to buy a complete new clutch assembly because the 7mm wide pulley on my old clutch does not fit the 13mm belts supplied elsewhere and this belt is too big. Don't do as I did, if your belt is about 7mm (1//4 inch) wide, bite the bullet and buy a new clutch but be prepared for a very hard job getting the brush roller through the belt which will need to be stretched to about three times it original length.

  took 3 of us to pull the belt and get it under the spool. It was very tight. We had to pull it with some string threaded around it!

  Vacuum Belts for Dyson 24 October 2008

  These belts are good value from this store but they dont last a long time, or at least they dont last me a long time - and they are very difficult to fit! I have to leave it to my husband who has stronger hands than I have. I looked online at the Dyson site for advice on how to fit beforehand.
