had to move spacer brackets ! 17 November 2013

i have fitted 100`s of elements over the yrs, so this was never gonna be hard for me, says its a genuine replacement part but im guessin the 2 spacer brackets must be set for another make as i had to move them quite a way to fit, they are tight on the element but possible to move, just dont be too heavy handed or you may damage it, other than that it was a straight forward job to do,and the element worked fine.. job took about 20 min to do, 15 of that was moving the spacers tho !, i would class it as competant diy level...

    Straightforward product 22 October 2013

Prompt and efficient ordering and delivery of the replacement oven element. Slightly fiddly to fit but that's the cooker design, i.e. not espares fault!

Quick and easy to fit and it worked when I turned the oven on ! 09 October 2013

Does what it says on the tin and appears to be good quality - solid and well-made. Minor issue is that there are 3 loops for attaching the element to the oven back wall, in addition to the side plate. The outer one is positioned exactly where the screw hole is on the back wall. The other two, top and bottom, are not and therefore could not be screwed to the oven back wall. However, with the fixings that can be used, the element is fully secure.

Time will tell 02 October 2013

Slightly different element to one being replaced as spade connections were offset but nothing a pair of pliers couldn't rectify. Only slight concern is that this is the third element to be replaced within 5years on an AEG oven. Good instructional video as per usual from espares.

Correct Screwdriver Essential 01 September 2013

Ordered over the Bank Holiday, delivery was still quick with the item well packaged. Fitting is straightforward providing you have / select the correct type of screwdriver. For me, the correct one was a Phillips 2. Commonsense but just a gentle reminder - Ensure the appliance is switched off before working and a torch to hand will help too.

    Good product 10 August 2013

Top tips for fitting oven elements located at the back of the unit. Long arms. Good lighting. Make yourself comfortable. I've done a few of these for my neighbours and sometimes they come with extra lugs that are redundant for your oven and can prevent flush fitting. However these are designed to snap off when gently flexed with pliers. ** Also, please note, some ovens need the clocks to be set before power is restored to the oven.

Advice videos saved me a headache ! 09 August 2013

I replaced my Electrolux electric oven element which would have been a massive exercise if I hadn't watched the eSpares video ! I would have otherwise removed the whole oven from it's kitchen surround ! A great explanation and confidence boost. It was clearly shown how the job could be done from the inside in situ ! Selecting of replacement part was a little daunting but was eased by decent component pics. New part arrived in reasonable time and well packaged. It did however have a couple of fixing lugs attached that were incompatible with my oven but I sawed them off and all went back together and is working fine. All in all a really good experience..!
