Watch the video but beware! 10 November 2011

Purchased the lower door seal as I was getting intermittent leakage. The seal appeared expensive for what it was but hey, that's the way things are these days. Unless you're a white goods mechanic don't attempt to fit until you've watched the video which is very helpful. Just don't expect all the parts to come away as easily as the young lady shows. Also the video shows the machine being worked on sat on a workbench. A lot easier than working in a confined space at ankle level. I didn't find the door came off as easy as shown

Saved a fortune by simple DIY 16 September 2011

Seal was straightforward to fit although beware razor sharp edges on bottom of dishwasher door. Also, Bosch DW top has two tabs to depress as you slide top back. Do read all the comments on the espares video for this job. You will have to twist the door and rest on a good surface. The video shows door after cables removed which you DONT want to do. I'd have saved myself a cut finger and more by reading. Good luck

Read all the other reveiws about fitting carefully first, they are very helpful, it seems easy to fit once you've done it, but don't rush into it.

Neff dishwasher lower door seal 06 August 2010

The door on my 10 year old Neff dishwasher was begining to leak badly. Ordered replacement seal online and had to wait an unreasonable 7 days for delivery. The plastic fittings are quite different to the original stainless steel Neff ones so it's very easy to be confused with how they fit thanks to the shockingly poor instructions which consist of a couple of crude line drawings. I found it best to hold down the spring loaded door hinge with one hand while loosely turning the top two screw fittings into place (do this left then right) then hold the door half open then slide the seal brackets between the spring-loaded door hinge and the body of the diswasher and then insert and tighten the lower screws. Now fully tighten the door hinges upper screws. If you're tackling this you'll need a helper and about an hour minimum if you are lucky and suss it out in your head!! - I am good with engineering stuff and have in the past been a fitter by trade but it still took me 3 hours due to the lack of sensible instructions and having no helper to hold the door half open.

replacement door seal 12 June 2010

i just got my door seal.thanks espares for the quickness of delivery, but the instructions or should i put destructions were diabolical to say the least, but having read your comments page helped, the unfortunate thing for me is that when we started putting it all back together, one of the wedges got stuck and my mates gentle tweak to loosen it resulted in the hinge arm half moon washer snapping, and so i now need another part for the dishwasher, methinks i maybe should have gone and bought a new one, instead of trying to fix this one...thanks anyway guys

    Fitting tips 02 May 2010

I fitted this seal to an Bosch dishwasher, approx 10 years old. Door was leaking from lower left corner. The seal is easy to fit once you get your head around how it locates. My method of fitting was as follows ( all screws are Torx 20): 1. Remove lower door panel, there is no need to unscrew the control panel assembly. 2. Unscrew door from hinges, gently allow hinges to return to their home (up) position 3. My hinges had small holes that allowed them to be wedged open at around 45 deg. I used small screwdrivers between the adjacent cupboards and the washer body. I had no luck holding the hinges fully open with large blade screwdrivers as described in other posts. 4. Fit the plastic brackets to the seal and locate on the door. 5. re-locate the door onto the hinges sandwiching the seal brackets. 6. Insert door-hinge screws, I found I had to remove the 'wedge' screwdrivers during this phase to get the screw holes lined up. 7. Push the seal through under the door and attach to washer body. 8. Replace door cover and test.
