  Right drum paddle, fiddely to secure 17 August 2014

  Very fiddley to fit, no mention a spring hook tool was required, when paddle in place, to lift tab to stop the paddle coming back out. I improvised making one from a wire coat hanger. Otherwise item is as expected and now securely fitted.

  Necessary purchase - old ones had broken 13 January 2014

  Delivered on time. Ordering process was easy. Had to replace all three old ones as they had broken. We couldn't use the machine without them - the metal cutaways and tabs would have shredded the washing. We found them a little tricky to fit as the metal tabs on the drum has become misaligned when the old ones broke away. So do check this out if you're fitting these. Once we had realigned the tabs they fitted OK. I thought the price was excessive for three bits of plastic.

  Saved me paing for an engineer but not sure how long it will last 25 September 2013

  This part came out of my 3 month old washing machine, which was annoying. Even more annoying was that the manufacturer told me it would cost hundred to get engineer out and then get the part etc. Instead I could pay £115 to get a warranty cover that would include this. I thought I'd try getting it myself instead and so ordered this part. It's not exactly like the other one, a bit shorter, but the fitting part is the same so I'm pretty happy about that. Only problem is that to fit it you need to slide it on and then poke in the metal drum piece so that it stays in place. The only way you can do this is by removing the drum which I wasn't about to do! I've just had to push the metal securing piece down in order to fit it (otherwise it wouldn't slide on) and hope it stays in place. I'm kind of happy with it, but am holding my breath to see if it falls out.

  The metal 'barb' that you have pushed down prevents the paddle from coming off. See our video to help adjust this without having to remove the drum. How to change a washing machine drum paddle - LG

  Indesit Drum Paddles 15 August 2011

  Fortunately this product is very easy to fit, which is just as well as I have had to fit 13 so far! My machine is just under two years old and the paddles keep coming off. The little plastic clips that slide and grip the steel drum seem to snap quite easily and it is not because the machine is overloaded because, as a single person, I do not have large family wash loads. The washing mchine is great, but the drum paddles are a definite weakness in the design as far as I am concerned. Hurray for Espares and their fast delivery system as each time I have been able to replace the paddles very quickly and easily. I always keep a spare paddle now.

  Dont overload your machine 31 January 2011

  The part is very easy to fit and was delivered within two days,The paddle has location pads which mate with slots in the drum & slides into place to secure it. The motto here is "don't overload the machine" as the location pads will snap and you will need a new paddle. simple!

  seemed to fit easily but broke just as easy .the problem is possibly with the drum ,i dont know .but all i know is that im £30 worse off .and no paddles in machine

  Expensive but necessary 04 October 2009

  Very easy to install and no tools are required. Prevention in the first place is probably better ie; don't let the kids wash their shoes in the machine even if they are over 16. Warning! do not use the machine without the padles fitted can cause damage to the clothing.
