  Did what it said but didn't quite fit the bill 10 January 2016

  I wanted the door seal for my intergral dishwasher and looked to buy a seal for the top and sides. The website directed me to the lower seal which arrived quickly. However I still needed to buy the upper seals which required a phone call to espares. They couldn't locate one for several days so I bought one from Hoover direct as I needed it in a hurry.

  Fitted the part. Video on website is very good aid to demonstrate how to get to the door seal. Unfortunately the seal supplied appears slightly smaller than the one it replaces . I will take it apart and inspect it again but is the candy spare the same as the hoover part?

  cured my badly leaking dishwasher for a low price 03 July 2012

  nervous about this job even after watching video but job was actually easier to do than video led me to believe on a candy machine only need to remove front door however when you disconect hinge bracket it snaps back and you need help of another to hold in place to replace screws

  good product, difficult to fit 24 January 2011

  THE SEALING STRIP FOR THE BASE OF THE DISHWASHER DOOR (CANDY CD 242) WAS FINE, REASONABLY PRICED WELL PACKAGED AND DELIVERY FAST, AND THE OLD DEFECTIVE SEAL CAME OUT EASILY, BUT... FROM THEN ON, THE DOOR DOESN'T COME OFF, SO VERY DIFFICULT TO INSERT THE NEW STRIP IN SITU. THE SLOT INTO WHICH THE SEAL HAS TO BE INSERTED IS OUT OF SIGHT AND FACING AWAY. HIGH FORCE IS REQUIRED TO INSERT THE NEW SEAL, EVEN IF LUBRICATED. EVENTUALLY IT WENT IN, APPEARED TO BE FULLY HOME, BUT IT STILL LEAKS. EASIER IF LOWER SEAL INSERTED IN BODY OF M/C RATHER THAN DOOR BUT REQUIRES THIS MODIFICATION AT DESIGN STAGE.

  Old seal pulls out, new seal pushes in. Does require hard push to fit however. Use mirror to see slot. A touch of liquid soap helps. Check with mirror that has fitted OK.
