  I started off following your video and was getting into difficulties after an hour or so trying to get to the hinges. It then dawned on me that my Electrolux is quite different from the one in the video, I could do the job straight from the front without even moving the machine. I then fitted it in 15 mins. It took another 2 hours to put it all back together again. Its probably an age thing, I am in my 80's. Alls well now.

  AEG dishwasher lower door seal needed but company website was less than helpful and quite expensive. Got just what I needed from e-spares, it was the correct fit, was easy to install, was cheaper and has done the job. Nuff said!

  How I fit it 08 September 2013

  Spent ages asking how to fit from many companies and looking all over the internet. There are lots of tutorials online about the big three sided seal - but none I could find about this one. (1) You don't need to take the door off (2) be careful that edge is razor sharp !! I was a little further behind most, as my seal hadn't leaked or torn, we found ours in the bottom of the dishwasher one evening. Looking at it, looked as though a knife or something had dropped through the cutlery holder and after lots of pushing, they had managed to get the bottom rack in the machine - at the cost of tearing out the seal. So I fit mine what seemed logical - with the segment vein part to hold in that little groove and the round part with the two cut out facing towards the back of the machine. I didn't warm up the seal, nor use any lubricant - I did however clean out the groove - I folded a wet wipe in four and placed it over the end of a steel rule, it fit just perfect - DO NOT TRY AND CLEAN THAT GROVE WITH YOUR FINGERS !!!! I then pushed the 1st end in, using the right hand seal as a stop, there is enough to just get a couple of fingers to grab hold of behind the groove and get some real thumb force - and you'll feel the seal hit home all the way along. It takes some pressure - but it get's there. At one point (probably where the knife had hit the original seal and pulled it out) I had to slightly open the groove whilst fitting it, I did this by gently opening the groove with a flat bladed screw driver.
