Saved me a Fortune! 30 October 2012
I received the door seal and associated products within time promised. I watched the excellent "How to Fit" video and fitted the seal within 3 hours. I saved in the region of £125.00 in fitting myself. Many Thanks Espares!

Good product - fitting very awkward 10 September 2012
This product was just as expected. The front of the hoover washing machine does not come off. You have to access the inner retaining band from the top and through the door hole. The clamp is very difficult to access and the nut moves. If it were welded in place (as someone mentioned in a review) in would have been easy. When you do get it off the band can be placed so that future access is much easier(clamp on the top).

Our hoover machine didnt require front taking off - thankfully found useful tips on somone elses review about just opening top and using a spanner which was great. It took a bit of fiddling to get it fitted but this was the first time we have ever attempted a repair ourselves and it has worked perfectly well since.

Replaced the old one with no problems a small tad of liquid soap helps. Each machine has it's quirks and some have better access than others to replace particular parts etc.

It was great to be able to order the part myself and fit it myself instead of calling out a plumber who would have charged whatever he wanted. I would not have been able to do with without the video, but saying that, it was still difficult because all washing machines are slightly different. But i did it and i felt i had accomplished something. And it works perfectly now. :)

Recommended for Hoover Soft Wave Maxi HSWF 167-80 26 November 2012
Not as easy to fit as the model in the demonstration video. The front panel can't be removed on the Hoover Soft Wave Maxi (HSWF 167-80). So access is through the door and from above. I took the opportunity to remove and clean the soap tray and rubber hose to the drum which also improved access to the door seal. I took photographs at each stage to assist with reassembly. It took about 2 hours but a lot of that was spent cleaning the soap tray. I think if I was to do it again and only replace the door seal I could probably do it in half an hour.
