  Product was exactly as described. Once figured out how to fit, it was done in 20 minutes, including putting washing machine back together. Well worth the money. I would recommend this product.

  Hubby struggled a bit on his own, needed another pair of hands but did the job. Replaced whilst fitting another part as it was twisted in the drum. Cheaper than purchasing a new washing machine, tks e spares

  Better than the original 12 January 2014

  Sold as compatible, but better than the original. Same shape, colour and material but had drain holes in bottom of the seal clearing water at the base of the door back into the drum. Good price, easy to fit and good quality. Just the job.

  Quality Product 05 November 2013

  At first I had great difficulty fitting this seal because I had removed the old seal days earlier when stripping the machine down to fit new bearings and did not take notice as to how the old one fitted. Once I realised how it fitted It was very easy indeed to fit the new one. Thaks to espares for their how to videos.

  Great product, nightmare to fit 29 October 2013

  To be fair, the difficulty in fitting this door gasket has nothing to do with e-spares, and everything to do with the model of washing machine. I bought it for a Hoover HNL 8146-80, as the seal I was replacing was absolutely stinking. I watched a couple of 'how to' videos on the e-spares site, and I was confident that I'd be able to fit it easily. However, if you have this model of washing machine, then be aware that the front panel doesn't come off, and so you'll have to fit the seal using the limited space available between the front panel and the drum. Add to that the fact that the gasket securing mechanism for the section that fits over the drum itself is an absolute pig to use. It's essentially a piece of threaded rod, with a small 6mm hexagonal bolt head, tightened through a nyloc nut. If you haven't got a small socket driver, don't bother! The moral of the story is to make sure you have the right tools for the job, and in this case, you'll need a 6mm socket head to remove every single screw on this machine. Once the seal is fitted, you'll probably find that there are small pellets of rubber produced around the seal for the first few washes, but I believe this is fairly normal, and the pellets will disappear eventually. All in all, e-spares delivered the seal in great time, and as far as I can tell, it's definitely a quality product. Just make sure you set aside enough time to fit if you have the same model of machine!

  Gasket replacement made easy 08 September 2013

  Watched the espares videos on how to replace a gasket having previously replaced one through the door space only. Made it much easier seeing that the top and front are usually removed. The trouble was the Hoover front is welded on, not bolted on so the replacement was still done through the door space, though with some additional access from the top. Thanks for the videos but perhaps point out that not all Hoovers have bolted on fronts.

  Nifty part replacement 29 August 2013

  My 2005 Hoover door rubber was easily fitted with the video guidance. Much more sustainability minded than replacing a whole washing machine.

  Just what i needed 20 August 2013

  Bought this item for my Hoover HNL6166 washing machine as my seal was leaking around bottom of door and i was fed up putting a towel under it for every wash, I have used this company before and they were just as cheap if not cheaper than other sites, the machine was a totally different strip down than any video i had watched, but with the help of Espares video i had a basic idea and it took me about an hour, machine like new! the delivery was second to none! i work shifts and was contacted through the whole delivery process even told between what hours it would be delivered, i even got free gift, Thanks guys

  Good part to fit Howden range - if a little snug 16 August 2013

  The seal fitted the machine perfectly - although I had a hard time getting the inner retaining ring back on, but that's not the fault of the item! Definitely need a spare pair of hands to help prise it in place, if only for that part of the job. Just to be warned. The rest was easy - although the replacement part is a tight fit against the door - no leaks tho... better very snug than loose!
