  Fittings not so universal 05 November 2009

  What lets this product down is the fact that they only supply 4 clips to fit it to the oven door, 2 of which can only be used if the seal goes into a groove with a right-angle turn in it. It would have been better to supply more straight-line clips, to give greater flexibility for fitting something which is claimed to be a "universal" product. Price-wise, this seal kit is a little pricey but not too bad. However, the meanness of the supply of clips tends to push it into the "slightly overpriced" category. One other thing to bear in mind: the design of the clips is such that, once you've pushed them into the sealing strip, you can't remove them without damaging it. This is another reason why they should supply more general-purpose clips instead of (or as well as) the less generally useful right-angle ones.

  great idea, but completely useless as the oven door wouldn't shut with the seal fitted. This could not be forseen until the seal had been cut to size, so it's just as well this isn't an expensive product.

  Universal oven seal 25 January 2009

  This item does not fit the New World 90 DGO oven. The hooks supplied place the seal too close to the oven opening and the shelves/grill pan foul on the seal.

  IHad to use some ingenuity 15 January 2009

  I bought this for a Valor Vanity II. The original seal is quite different, so I had to drill holes in the oven front and site the new seal just outside the lines of the old one. The door shuts less easily now, but I think the seal is safe and workable.

  Good for square corners only 12 January 2009

  Unfortunately my Flavel Aspen door seal is fitted wih curved corners and the fittings supplied do not work. Had to do a make-up job with old damaged fittings. This could be added to the advert for future reference.
