  Product exactly what I needed 18 October 2011

  Was looking for this product and did not realise that I could get it online. Fitting was very easy and the product has been working properly since I installed it. Image of product on the web was a big help in being sure it was what I was looking for.

  Replacing lock and spring only under the sliding lid 20 August 2011

  I needed only to replace the broken spring under the sliding lid. The video said that this part could be bought separately. A call to the order line received a helpful response and identified the part number: Dishwasher Tripping Device and Spring (166630)Stock#ES546388 £6 approx v £60+ for the whole unit. This part is the blue shaft and spring that can be seen attached to the underside of the detached lid on the video screen shot. To fit it I removed the front cover, but did not need to remove the dispenser unit itself. To remove the shaft I was worried that the small bulbous shaft end would damage the four small fragile fingers though which it is inserted (see back of dispenser), so I carefully shaved the bulbous end under each finger (taking care not to damage the fingers) until the shaft simply pushed out through the front of the unit. I was supplied with a small rubber washer but found that this raised the shaft under the lid which resulted in the lid getting caught and not opening. Removing the weasher solved the problem, fortunately the shaft bulbous end had not fully engaged when I intially fitted it otherwise I would have had to cut it off to remove it, thus needing another new shaft. Good luck.

  Quality excellent, Instructions rather lacking, delivery slow 27 July 2011

  Sent Immediately but Overnight took three days to cross London. Not worth the extra! Watching the video carefully you will hear a rattle when the girl takes the lid off the dishwasher. That's the two nylon hinge buffers falling to the floor. the hinge arm fits into the notch on these buffers. Takes a little working out without any help from the instructions. She recommends using Dishwasher liquid to lubricate the seal. Lubrication is vital but I would never put liquid detergent into a dishwasher. Use Vaseline (best) or Chain Lube (white grease) or even furniture polish at a pinch. Run a quick wash to clean and test. Replacing the dispenser is not as simple as you might think. However much pressure you apply to push down, it is likely that all the nylon lugs will not have latched fully. It is important to latch all these as any leakage into the lid will not help the electronics. The secret is the following: The nylon lugs are in pairs, place a flat screwdriver between them, right down to the inner curved corner of the stainless spring plate. Press there and the spring plate will easily latch over the nylon stepped wedges.

  Neff dishwasher purchase 29 June 2011

  parts arrived after three days, paid for overnight delivery so not so good. on opening parts found that you supplied a hoover extension instead of a dishwasher dispenser. had to phone again and you sent out overnight the correct part, so service not great but part was good.

  Easy fix for very anoying fault 27 June 2011

  The detergent door became impossible to close. Replacing with this unit solved the problem completely. Fairly easy to fit but would advise using small 'slips' to slide in between the folded sheet metal tangs of the diswasher door and the plastic retaining moulding of the dispenser to ease removal. Work around the dispenser, lever up the metal tang, slide in the 'slip', this will ensure that the disenser slides out easily when all retainers 'slipped'. I used pieces cut from an old plastic milk bottle cut to about 25mm wide by 40mm long. The demo fitting video on the espares web site is very good, if they added the advice on 'slips' it would be perfect.

  The part was the correct replacement for the detergent dispenser in the dishwasher. After watching the video, it was a relatively simple process to fit the unit which has subsequently worked perfectly. The video was an excellent aid and guide. Now I would contemplate replacing other parts in other machines if similar videos were available. The video also gives you the chance to judge whether the work is within your capabilities.

  The fitting of this part was very straight forward the only thing I would like to point out is that the finisher warning light was slightly different from the original,so I had to cut a small amount of plastic away inorder for it to fit the socket.
