Fitting the door seal 07 February 2012
My husband and I fitted the door seal ourselves. First of all we had to get the machine out of a recess which was a bit difficult to being with. Of course if my husband had all the proper tools necessary things would have been a lot easier, so getting all the screws etc. of took time. After removing the top and front of the machine it was quite easy to get the old door seal of. Getting the new door seal on was another matter. When we got the new door seal over the lip, which took a while we put the retainer band on. This was very tight and took a while to do. After we got the top & front of the machine back on we now had to get the last retaining band on. This was the worst part, the band was so tight I had to hold it in place, while my husband stretched it with a pair of pliers to get it on all the way round. The complete job took about 2 hours, but now it looks like a new machine. We were a bit worried when we did our first wash, but all looks ok. The guy in the video makes it look so easy, but for us, it wasn't that easy. Mind you we are pensioners so we probably don't have the same strength. But anyway we did it.!!!!!

I followed the instruction video and didn't have too much trouble fitting this new door seal. Without that same video it would have been pretty difficult, though.

Did what its supposed to do 29 September 2011
Arrived in crushed jiffy bad but as its rubber there was no damage. Upon opening notices there was a lot of flashing from the moulding process even on the inside where the clothes would be, so had t carefully trim that off (hence the mark down on quality). The fitting went well especially after watching the instructional video and it was up and working 20 mins after starting. Mind you when I moved the machine to replace the seal the floor needed cleaning where the seal had been leaking!!!

The product appeared identical in design and quality to the original part it was replacing. By following the video on the eSpares website the job was straightforward - just a bit fiddly in places.

Individual brand fitting tips req 06 August 2010
Had to call in an engineer to fit this, as the online video "how to fit door seal" was a general one for all machines but was impossible to do with Bosch. Engineer removed 4 screws holding on front of machine, and it suddenly became an absolute doddle.uired

The espares video made fitting this Bosch door seal straight forward. The seal was fitted to a Bosch WFD2473 washing m/c and is the same in every respect as the original.
