    Done it 24 September 2014

Not the most simple of tasks and getting the retaining springs is easier with two. Took about an hour and half start to finish. As usual I had a screw left over after I had finished.

Straitforward job, good part 05 March 2014

The seal is a very good match for the original, and so far has been holding fast and doing its job well. The only minor flaw (and this is nit-picking) is that it does not have the little gully at the bottom that takes water away from the door that the original has, so a few drops of water might escape when you open the door, but we can live with that. The instructions up on you tube that espares recorded are spot on, and the job of replacing the seal is as straight forward as they make it out to be, provided you have access to the right tools and remember what order you took the screws out in.....

This seal has almost certainly got the drain holes in but these may have been rotated when fitting and now be in the wrong position. Remember when fitting to look for these holes and locate them at the bottom of the door.

    Bish bash Bosch.(Seimens actually) 20 January 2014

Decided against buying the generic seal, although it was around half the price of the genuine article.I watched the video before i ordered the part to make sure it was within my DIY capabilities and it was pretty straightforward. The hardest part was getting the retaining wires back over the rubber.

    Excellent service 21 November 2013

I found that our Bosch washing machine was leaking from the door and it looked like the rubber seal had failed. On searching the net I found the espares site and not only ordered a good replacement seal I found their Youtube demo on how to fit it was excellent. Without this video which I referred to a couple of time when fitting the seal the whole job could have taken hours and I may possibly have had to give up and call out an engineer which would have been a very costly exercise.

    First Purchase 09 November 2013

First time I have fitted a door seal found access to be quite awkward and without the e spares video would have really struggled, the seal is very good quality thought it a bit expensive but overall was pleased with the product. I would also like to say the service and delivery was first class.

Hopefully better than the cheap one 11 October 2013

I bought the cheaper generic door seal in August 2012 and it only lasted just over a year. I have bought the Genuine Siemens one this time in the hope that it will last longer, although there were no Bosch markings on the box or seal to say it was any different from the generic one. Rather hard to review it until I know how long it lasts for though! Fitting was fairly easy when following the video, the inner spring being the hardest part. I found that rolling it into place worked better than trying to stretch it and hook it over.

Washing Machine Door Seal Replacement 07 February 2013

Having identified the part needed from the washing machine manual, the new door seal did indeed fit. Fitting the new door seal took some time using 2 people (over and hour), even after watching the espares instructional video on youtube several times.

Siemens WXL146 door seal replaced with help from espares video 17 January 2013

    * Good espares web site, identifying 4 possible replacement seals * I selected a genuine Bosch seal - expensive compared with 3rd-party seals but old door seal lasted for eight and a half years with almost daily use. There was still a choice of 2 genuine Bosch seals. * Took old seal off and compared with web image - selecting the seal without the protruding short tube. The new seal had the same number moulded into the rubber as the old one, so it was definitely correct, but I suspect the other seal would also have fitted * New seal didn't seem to have the same moulding quality as the old seal around the mould edges - which is what I would have expected from a 3rd party seal - but otherwise it looked absolutely fine * Recommend viewing the espares video - while the video uses a Bosch machine, the Siemens machine was very similar for the seal just differing on outer panels. * Hints: 1. Siemens top panel removal - after all screws undone, slide back before lifting off. 2. After fitting seal, check, then double check seal is seated correctly. 3.For re-fitting Siemens front panel - use two people with one supporting at the door hinge - makes assembly much easier. 4. Check your torx screwdrivers before starting -Siemens m/c mostly uses T20 torx screws, but back panel uses four T30 torx screws Sum-up: - espares video is a really good help, recommend viewing it before starting - seal replacement is straightforward but don't rush I used next day delivery, and had machine up-and-running faster and cheaper than calling a repair engineer.

Great part. Unfortunately, video incorrect for this sub-model, so took 2 hours to install 06 December 2012

Part was great. However, despite inputting the correct model number, this sub-model did not have the same procedure for removing the front of the washing machine, so I had to remove the old seal and fix the new one without removing the front of the machine, which was very tricky and time consuming. In the end, worth it, but it took almost two hours.
