The pins broke on our OEM hinge after about 10 years use. This part is an exact replacement and is easy to fit. I recommend you undo the front door seal wire so you can slide your hand in to catch the inner metal plate when you undo the two screws. The door will need to be separated into two parts at the hinge point to fit the new hinge (remove screws and lever apart carefully). You'll need an extra pair of hands to hold the door whilst you refit the plate and screws. Why not combine this operation with fitting a new door seal? It's literally a 10 minute job and will save £££s if you do it yourself instead of calling a repair man!

Despite the product being the 'correct' one, according to serial number etc; the part was slightly different in shape and the door now wobbles, I will have to fit a fibre washer or strip to pad the hinge from the front. Not a happy bunny!

Simple to fit - took about three minutes. Needs a philips head screwdriver and a smallish spanner/socket.

There is a Hotpoint material specification problem here, as this is the second replacement door hinge we have had on this Tumble Dryer. However a simple 10 minute exercise to fit the new hinge has saved us at least the call out charge

After 6 months of proping my door up to the tumble dryer, this new hinge was exactly what was needed. Why didn't I order it sooner. Easy to fit, what more can I say, it's a hinge.
