  Good Product - 12 May 2011

  Good product, easy to identify correct version and delivered quickly. Would recommend replacing all 3 at once as once 1 fails the rest will go shortly afterwards. Check that nothing is trapped between the drums which could damage the plastic tabs (such as coins) I'm on my second set of parts in a month due to this.

  most folk will panick when the machine makes a noise like its full of marbles, pay a fortune for the repair man, and think he's wonderfull when its fixed. when they could replace the part themselves at a fraction of the cost in less than 2 minutes

  Lesson - don't buy Hotpoint 02 May 2010

  I have fitted quite a few of these lifters, it is very easy. The first one failed when the washing machine was only a few months old. Due to the extremely poor Hotpoint design the tabs that hold the paddle in place seem to be worn on the inside of the tub until they become sufficiently weak and the paddle detaches. If this happens a large hole is created in the drum which leads to damaged clothes. For this reason it is necessary to inspect the paddles regularly and replace when they start to feel loose. For some reason the drum on our washer is also damaged and dented, I think this has occurred when the paddles have failed and things have been trapped between the drum and tub.

  The part was easy to find and identify on the web site. As it was so cheap I thought it would be flimsy, but it wasn't. the part was as good as the original. It was really easy to fit and the washing machine is now as good as new.

  How to fit 19 January 2010

  Now on my 8th lifter because of rubbish machine design. Helps if you slide the new one in and use the old one against the drum to lever it in till it clicks in place
